Urban Decanter Wine Collection & Bar is a gorgeous spot in Forest Grove with the just the right touch of ambiance. It mixes a relaxing wine bar feel in the back with a tasteful wine store in front. They have a fantastic wine selection, including Oregon wines of course, all beautifully displayed displayed on dark wood shelves underneath gorgeous amber lights that once lit the Benson Hotel. As they say, “Come for the wine, stay for the experience.” It rings true.
Besides serving great Oregon wines such as Purple Cow, Hip Chicks Do Wine, Rex Hill, Zimri Cellars, Red Red Wine, and Spruce Goose, they have some fantastic food. They don’t list their dessert menu but I will list it just to make you salivate: Chocolate Chocolate Cake, so good they said chocolate twice, Baklava, Diamond Nut Wedge, Dried Fruit Tartlet, and Chocolate Truffles. They have after dinner wines served as 2oz pours. Also on the dessert menu is a list of wines that pair with each.
