The Willamette Valley Wine Century Club wants to help local wine lovers taste more grape varieties. To do so, the local chapter is hosting special tastings at NW A Wine Bar at 6:30pm in historic downtown McMinnville. The group’s goal – taste through at least 100 different varieties to become Wine Centurians.
Tastings start April 12, 2010 and will be held every other Monday (unless otherwise indicated on the group calendar) and will cost only $15 for 4-5 different samples. Specials will be offered on bottles of each wine tasted, and additional information about the various grape varieties will be provided.
Once 100 varieties are sampled members having completed all grapes will receive a certificate of completion.
They welcome all to join us as they explore wines from near and far, learning about exotic or obscure grapes, and discussing some popular favorites more in depth. Please contact Ryan Reichert at WVCentury@gmail.com with any questions.
