A third generation family-owned business, Blue Mountain Cider is made from sustainable farmed estate grown apples produced in Milton-Freewater Oregon and they are the largest apple packer in the state of Oregon. Their cider is made with 5 different varieties of apples in small batches and they are part of the fastest growing categories in the beverage industry.
Blue Mountain Cider started making cider in 2000 and has gone from mason jars to growlers to 750ml bottles in a very short time. For Spring 2010, they will be introducing Blue Mountain cider in kegs to give the public an opportunity to enjoy it in your favorite restaurant.
Most ciders use concentrate and additives; they DON’T add sugar or water. The sweeter apples like jonagolds give the cider a more natural sugar content. They currently feature seven flavors:
Cranberry( using Oregon Cranberries)
With such fertile grounds and abundance of grapes, they also grow grapes for other wineries & produce their own wine called Watermill Wine.
